About Morse Code
Morse code is a method of encoding text characters as standardized sequences of two signals — dots (·) and dashes (−). Created by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail in the 1830s, it was originally used for telegraph communication.
Each letter, digit, and punctuation mark is represented by a unique sequence. The letter E is the simplest (·), while more common letters have shorter codes. Our translator handles the complete International Morse Code standard.
